mIRC 7.84 released

Version 7.84 of mIRC is out — the third release in eight months, from a client whose first version shipped in 1995. The changelog is the usual mIRC mix: fixes, small refinements, no drama.

The cadence is the story. Most of mIRC's 90s contemporaries are museum pieces; mIRC is still the second-best reason to do IRC on Windows, and the scripting engine remains unmatched.
